Carey was 5'10 inches tall at the time she was a top model. She was a popular model among American designers Calvin Klein or Ralph Lauren was extremely high. She is the daughter of an outstanding geologist who was awarded the title of Scientist of the year in 1979 by the Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists. Carey traveled all over because of her father's work. As she attended an institution called the University of Colorado at part-time when she was discovered to be the target of Ford model Agency representative in New York. The model moved to France in 1980 and lived briefly in Paris and Bordeaux before returning in New York to continue with her college education and modeling career and was soon being featured on the cover of Vogue, Glamour, etc. Between modeling gigs, she was a full time student who was pursuing a degree of literature from New York University. Gradually she became interested in acting, and began studying at the Neighborhood Playhouse in New York. The actress had a tiny part in Club Paradise with Robin Williams in 1986. In her spare time, she enjoys ski, wind surfing, rock climbing and white water rafting.
