Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue A. Ellis Taylor, American actor and producer. She received a BA in Brown University in African-American Studies. In the Tisch school of the arts, New York University she earned an MFA. Aunjanue is an American actor as well as a producer and director. She is employed in film and television. Her career began as an actress in theatre before going on to be a part of numerous television series, mainstream and independent films. She became famous as Miranda Shaw, a character on ABC's Quantico. On BET's amazing show The Book of Negroes she was a character. In addition, she get praise from critics for her character, she also received a few awards and nominations. She made her professional debut with the character Ariel on the stage in The Tempest in 1995. On Broadway she was a part of the cast on stage in Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Seeking the Genesis and Joe Turner's Come and Gone. She is most well-known for her work in Men of Honor as well as the Caveman's Valentine The Express & The Help.
